Job Title: Head Groundsman and School Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Head Groundsman and School Maintenance Manager at Wellesley Prep School.

About the Role:

  • Maintain and improve the grounds, buildings, gardens, and sport facilities of the school to the highest possible standards.
  • Lead a small team of experienced grounds and maintenance staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the school's estate and facilities.

About the School:

Wellesley Prep School is a unique co-educational independent day school for girls and boys aged 3-13. Our school has a 90-acre estate on the Hampshire/Berkshire border and is part of the Wellington Estates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair buildings, gardens, and sport facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure high standards of maintenance and groundskeeping.

Requirements:

  • Practical experience in grounds maintenance and management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
