Job Title: Children's Specialist Speech
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP). The successful candidate will work with children with complex needs in mainstream school settings across the patch, including those with top-up funding/EHCP's. The role will involve implementing Speech and Language therapy for children and young people of school age, working alongside colleagues to provide a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide assessment, diagnosis, and appropriate speech and language therapy intervention for clients referred to the Service in line with RCSLT Communicating Quality 3.
* Decide when to discontinue the management of a client and ensure that relevant professionals and client/carers are made aware as soon as possible of the reasons for this decision.
* Identify the need for clinical support and advice and seek this from more senior clinicians as appropriate in order to provide a high-quality Service.
* Undertake the placements of Speech and Language Therapy students as appropriate.
* Provide support for newly qualified Speech and Language Therapy students as appropriate.
* Provide training to others as appropriate.
Person Specification:
* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* Evidence of paediatric assessment and treatment skills.
* Evidence of working with school-age children.
* Evidence of working within a variety of settings, including EYs settings and previous experience of clinics and schools.
* Car driver.
