About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with children and young people in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, and community centers. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and treat children with speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as swallowing and eating difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's speech, language, and communication skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Work with children, families, and other professionals to promote effective communication and swallowing skills
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for children with complex needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Relevant postgraduate experience in working with children
  • Demonstration of appropriate clinical assessment and intervention skills
  • Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
