Job Description

**Data Engineer - Primus Connect**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Primus Connect. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and maintaining our Azure SQL / Synapse metadata framework, developing Azure Synapse pipelines, and performing data transformations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and maintenance of the Azure SQL / Synapse metadata framework
  • Develop Azure Synapse pipelines to load source data to the Data Lake and provide data to the Report layer(s) Power BI
  • Perform data transformations as per mapping documents
  • Ensure quality is embedded and provable at every stage of code development
  • Data extracts from Legacy systems
  • Migration of data and processes from legacy systems to Azure Synapse
  • Identify improvements to existing processes and helping to migrate data and modelling into Azure Synapse

Requirements:

  • Azure Data Services
  • SQL Server / TSQL
  • SSIS, SSRS
  • Data modelling
  • Power BI
  • Data Warehouse and Report Layer design
  • Strong SQL/database querying skills
  • Knowledge of Azure portal, Azure services and Azure DevOps
