Job Title: Rehabilitation Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our team in the Community Stroke Team (CST) at Barts Health NHS Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to patients with stroke and other neurological conditions. As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver individualized treatment programs and support patients in their rehabilitation journey.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist members of the Stroke Therapies Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) in providing high-quality care to patients on the Tower Hamlets stroke pathway.
  • Carry out treatment plans developed by Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech and Language Therapists, and progress those treatment plans within agreed frameworks.
  • Support the safe and effective care of patients by maintaining levels of stock, and the cleanliness and safety of equipment, as well as carrying out some administrative duties.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of working in healthcare or a similar setting.
  • Understanding of the role of therapists in the rehabilitation of stroke patients.
  • Ability to work flexibly and provide patient-centered intervention in a community setting.
