Position: SEN Early Years Foundation Stage Support Assistant

We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as EYFS Teaching Assistants. This role is ideal for those with a background in early childhood education, teaching assistance, or psychology who are eager to contribute to the development of children in their formative years.

As a SEN Early Years Foundation Stage Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing tailored support to children with special educational needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage. Collaborating closely with educators and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), you will help implement personalized learning strategies, create a nurturing environment, and support each child's journey towards achieving their fullest potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group support to children with special educational needs.
  • Assist in designing and executing activities that foster social, emotional, and educational growth.
  • Track progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents or guardians.
  • Establish a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where children feel secure and appreciated.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or primary school environment.
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and effective strategies for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to assisting children with diverse learning requirements.
  • Applications from psychology graduates or experienced nursery practitioners are highly encouraged.
