Position: SEN Early Years Support Assistant

This role is ideal for those with a background in early childhood education, teaching assistance, or psychology who are eager to contribute to the development of children in their formative years.

As a SEN Early Years Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing tailored support to children with special educational needs within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Collaborating closely with classroom educators and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), you will help implement personalized learning strategies, cultivate a supportive educational environment, and assist each child in achieving their maximum potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group support to children with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the design and execution of activities that encourage social, emotional, and educational growth.
  • Track progress and communicate feedback to educators and parents or guardians.
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere where children feel secure and valued.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with young children, preferably in a nursery or primary educational setting.
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and effective strategies for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a sincere commitment to assisting children with varied learning requirements.
  • Applications from psychology graduates or seasoned nursery practitioners are highly encouraged.
