A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONFERENCE PORTER AT RBH HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Your responsibilities...

As a vital member of our team, reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, we are in search of an individual eager to engage actively in creating a welcoming environment, ensuring our guests enjoy a remarkable experience, whether they are attending a corporate meeting, festive gathering, or a wedding.

The Conference Porter position encompasses a variety of tasks, including:

  • Preparing conference and event spaces to a high standard in accordance with guest specifications prior to their arrival, which entails significant manual handling, including the movement of tables, chairs, and heavy equipment.
  • Providing service during events and ensuring the smooth operation of activities on the day.
  • Cleaning and resetting meeting rooms after guests have left.
  • Assisting with banquet setups and transitions.
  • Storing and maintaining conference equipment.
  • Regularly checking and maintaining meeting rooms to ensure they meet our standards, even when not in use.
  • Responding promptly to the evolving needs of guests.
  • Supporting the broader Food & Beverage Team with additional tasks, including Room Service and Bar assistance as needed.

  • Previous experience in a similar hands-on role, including lifting heavy items and rearranging furniture, is advantageous.

  • A willingness to learn and collaborate within a diverse hotel team.
