About this Role:

We are seeking a seasoned HR Director to lead our Employee Relations Center of Excellence in EMEA and APAC, with a focus on the United Kingdom. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in shaping our employee relations strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive employee relations strategy that aligns with Gartner's business objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, and investigations.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and employment law teams to resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance investigation skills and best practices in employee relations.
  • Develop and maintain tools and templates for global use, ensuring consistency and compliance with regional requirements.
  • Partner with legal counsel and HR stakeholders to identify trends and risks in employee relations matters and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in employee relations, with a strong understanding of UK employment law and best practices.
  • Excellent investigation skills, including design, interview techniques, and documentation management.
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to solve problems using quantitative and qualitative inputs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create effective tools and templates.
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge of UK employment law and best practices, with a willingness to learn about other regional requirements.
  • Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion issues, with a commitment to supporting an inclusive culture.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Related work experience in HR or employee relations, with direct ownership of investigations and prior experience in a centralized employee relations team.
  • Experience managing grievances, disciplinaries, and appeals in the UK, with a strong understanding of regional requirements.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent, with a strong academic record.
