About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and caring individual to join our team on Beech Ward, a busy 30-bedded Respiratory ward that delivers care to respiratory patients.

The successful candidate will assist with food service, including organizing and assisting patients with menus, preparing and serving meals, and providing drinks and snacks as needed.

They will also assist with cleaning schedules and ensure patient bed spaces are ready for changeover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care
  • Assist with food service, including menu organization and meal preparation
  • Contribute to cleaning schedules and maintain patient bed spaces
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve excellent patient outcomes

Person Specification

Essential

  • Good basic education, including reading, writing, and basic numeric skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to work alone and with others

Desirable

  • Previous experience working with people, particularly in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
