Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your clinical expertise to assess and manage patients with complex mental health needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective care plans, promoting patient-centered care and positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Provide education and training to colleagues and patients, promoting knowledge and skills in mental health care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current registration and a strong track record of experience in psychiatric liaison nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs and priorities.
