Assistant Merchandiser Job Description

END. is a leading technology-led retailer that provides luxury and contemporary apparel and exclusive sneaker drops to a global audience. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our team and contribute to our next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Merchandiser, Head of Merchandising, and Directors to influence operational plans and developments.
  • Support the merchandiser and buying team in developing the category framework, covering targets for sales, stock, intake, in-season trading, end-of-life, net achieved margin, and other commercial KPIs.
  • Ensure accurate data is used and analyzed to make the best commercial decisions and work with various END. stakeholders to improve data integrity.
  • Assist in the forecast/reeforecast process for key KPIs and regularly monitor progress, suggesting corrective action where necessary.
  • Support buyers/buying team in developing and buying commercial ranges that deliver on company goals.
  • Manage overall stock levels for categories/ranges, maintain line cards/WSSIs, and monitor intake into the UK, working with buying and supply chain teams.
  • Work with channel teams to probe product performance, identify issues, and propose corrective action.
  • Analyze and monitor best and worst sellers, use latest data and sales trends to spot trading opportunities, and make informed recommendations to buying teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure product is available for agreed launches/promotions across all channels.
  • Develop ideas and suggestions to positively impact business trading through promotions.
  • Advise and implement best practice to develop the merchandising and buying functions.
  • Build effective relationships with buying, merchandising, and supply chain teams based on reliable data.
  • Deliver key information at the right time and present at meetings as requested.
  • Develop and enhance operational processes to improve consistent performance and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Commercially aware with a strong understanding of merchandising and online brands marketplaces.
  • A 'trading mentality' with the ability to work in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Strong functional experience in a fast-paced, complex multi-channel environment.
  • Able to build and maintain robust relationships with buying, supply chain, and other internal colleagues.
  • Inquisitive and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to handle complexity and ambiguity.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a track record of delivering to deadlines.
  • Data and computer literate with advanced Excel skills.
