Rise Resourcing is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist - Food to join their team in West Yorkshire.

This role involves delivering commercially focused product ranges that meet company and team targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth in the categories.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Buyer within a fast-paced, FMCG environment, preferably within grocery / confectionery / snacking.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with large branded FMCG suppliers
  • Sourcing suppliers and negotiating best cost prices
  • Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines
  • Reviewing levels of own brand stock and ensuring adequate levels are available and minimising risk
  • Presenting reports, figures, and trend information to the Senior Management team
  • Dealing and resolving escalated supplier queries
  • Analysing market trends and competitor activity

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to influence and negotiate effectively, and a good level of education, preferably a degree.

They will also have a good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects, as well as excellent understanding of all MS Office products, including advanced Excel.
