Position Overview

National Savings and Investments is seeking a qualified individual with proven expertise in financial crime risk management to fulfill the role of Financial Crime Analyst.

This position involves assisting the Financial Crime Manager in the formulation and execution of the financial crime oversight strategy.

You will play a key role in change initiatives, providing subject matter expert input as necessary. Additionally, you will support the development of financial crime training and awareness programs throughout the organization and contribute to the documentation produced by the team.

Ensuring that NS&I's outsourced partners comply with relevant financial crime legislation, regulations, and internal policies is crucial. This role significantly contributes to safeguarding NS&I customers, protecting our reputation, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

A vital aspect of this position is the advisory support provided to various NS&I teams and outsourced partners, both in routine operations and during change initiatives.

Required Technical Knowledge

  • Strong background in financial crime risk management within a regulated financial services context, including experience in fraud, anti-money laundering (AML), and sanctions compliance.
  • Thorough understanding of the UK's financial crime regulatory framework.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in first-line oversight and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or professional qualification (such as ICA or equivalent).
  • Experience in creating and delivering financial crime training materials and reports for senior management.
