Position Overview

National Savings and Investments is seeking a qualified individual with proven expertise in financial crime risk management to fill the role of Financial Crime Analyst.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Financial Crime Manager in developing and executing the financial crime oversight strategy.

You will play a vital role in change initiatives, offering subject matter expert (SME) insights as necessary. Additionally, you will aid in the development of financial crime training and awareness programs throughout the organization and contribute to the analytical reports generated by the team.

Ensuring that NS&I's external partners comply with applicable financial crime legislation, regulations, and internal policies is crucial. This position is integral to safeguarding NS&I customers, maintaining our reputation, and ensuring compliance in operations.

A key component of this role involves providing advisory support to various NS&I teams and external partners, addressing both business-as-usual activities and change management initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Technical Knowledge

  • Demonstrated experience in financial crime risk management within a regulated financial services context, including a minimum of experience in fraud, anti-money laundering (AML), and sanctions compliance.
  • Strong understanding of the UK's financial crime regulatory framework.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in first-line oversight and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or professional qualification (e.g., ICA or equivalent).
  • Experience in creating and delivering financial crime training materials and reports for senior management.
