This is a broad generalist role that requires someone with great communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task and juggle various projects. You will be responsible for leading and developing our UK HR function, delivering a comprehensive HR service to the business, and implementing HR strategies and objectives aligned to our overall global business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Business Partnering: Coach, develop, and upskill senior leaders on day-to-day employee issues, such as absence, learning and development, succession planning, and talent management.
- Team Leadership: Develop and manage a small HR team, supporting their development and growth, and ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver a high-quality HR service.
- Employee Relations: Advise managers on employee relations issues, manage absence, disciplinaries, grievances, and proactively coach managers on performance management processes.
- Learning and Development: Provide guidance to management on learning and development for their teams, implementing a training and development agenda, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Recruitment and Compensation: Manage the whole recruitment process, ensuring a great candidate experience, and oversee compensation and benefit activities, including salary and benefit surveys.
- Payroll and Benefits: Work with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure a smooth and timely payroll process, and manage all compensation and benefit activities.
- Policies and Procedures: Update all policies, handbooks, procedures, and processes, ensuring they are up-to-date and in line with current employment law and best practice.
- Global Change and OD: Support with global change and organizational development projects, and work with senior managers to design and embed new ways of working and creating innovative solutions on wellbeing, engagement, and diversity and inclusion.
- Previous experience of managing HRBP's and a 'can-do' approach to payroll.
- A mix of operational and strategic background, with a client group that has a blend of corporate, head office, and blue-collar production/manufacturing people.
- Experience of working in a commercial manufacturing business and supporting employees in the Nordics would be advantageous.
We offer a competitive salary between £80,000 and £90,000, plus a car allowance and benefits. You will be based in our office in Surrey, working 3 days a week, and 2 days at home, with travel as needed.
