Position Overview

Lead Care Assistant (Elderly Residential Support)

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift Patterns: Day or Night

Compensation: £13.50 per hour + paid breaks

Note: This position does not provide Tier 2 Sponsorship

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Lead Care Assistant to become a vital part of our team at Willing Care, providing essential support to elderly individuals in their daily lives. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional care while fostering independence and preserving the dignity of residents in a residential care environment.

Required Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a Senior Care Assistant or Lead Support Worker role
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver person-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Awareness of diversity, equality, and inclusion principles in care
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team and take initiative when necessary
  • A caring and understanding demeanor towards those in need of support

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering both physical and emotional support to residents in their daily routines
  • Assisting with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Aiding service users with medication management as needed
  • Supervising and coordinating the care team to ensure personalized care delivery
  • Effectively communicating with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contributing to the creation and execution of individualized care plans
  • Actively promoting principles of diversity, equality, and inclusion within the care setting
  • Maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct
