Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Pastoral Support Staff, you will be instrumental in ensuring the welfare and well-being of students. This role requires close collaboration with educators, parents, and other support personnel to provide emotional and social assistance, helping students navigate challenges and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
- Design and implement strategies to encourage positive behavior and emotional health.
- Collaborate with educators and parents to develop tailored support plans for students facing difficulties.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive educational environment where all students feel secure and supported.
- Assist in the creation and execution of pastoral care programs and initiatives.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing consistent feedback to educators and parents.
- Support students during transitions, such as moving between year groups or coping with significant life changes.
- Work alongside external agencies and professionals to deliver comprehensive support to students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational context is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a sincere desire to promote the well-being of students.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding protocols.
- Relevant qualifications or training in pastoral care, counseling, or related fields are advantageous.
