About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and friendly individuals to support people affected by dementia in our group settings. As a Group Support Volunteer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that individuals with dementia feel comfortable and included in our activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with individuals affected by dementia, providing a friendly and supportive presence.
- Assist with setting up and tidying away after group activities.
- Help facilitate social interaction and engagement among group members.
Requirements
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with dementia.
- Ability to work in a team environment and support others.
- Flexibility to commit to regular group sessions.
