Job Summary:

Hunter Selection is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Assistant to join our client's Supply Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting with the Purchasing of materials and Sourcing of new materials, creating Purchase Orders, and analyzing trends to identify cost-saving exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Demand Planner and Supply Chain Team in managing inventory and ensuring timely delivery of materials
  • Source and procure new materials, negotiating prices and terms with suppliers
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Analyze purchasing data and production trends to identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Prepare reports for sales presentations and budgets, utilizing data to inform business decisions
  • Utilize SAGE and Microsoft Office systems to manage procurement and supply chain activities

Requirements:

  • Experience in Supply Chain or Demand Planning, with a strong understanding of procurement systems and processes
  • Proficiency in SAGE or other procurement systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
