Supply Chain Coordinator

To work as part of a team to support the Head of Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met and maintained in both the UK and the wider global business.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the monthly inventory planning process to ensure uninterrupted supply whilst minimising the cash tied up in working capital.
- Monitoring stock levels across various locations and escalating accordingly.
- Create & amend purchase orders.
- Monitor and report on supplier performance including On Time In-Full & quality.
- Monitor and report on the business performance including On Time In-Full.
- Supplier Audits.
- Logistics - managing both inbound and outbound freight and courier services.
- Monitor & maintain compliance with WEEE and other regulations where applicable.
- Ensure TREND is up to date with the latest environmental regulations & be aware of any forthcoming.
- Assist with data collection for ESG.
- Reconcile consigned stock file.
- Consolidating Purchase Price Variances (PPV).
- Excess material review. - Sourcing.
- Build Standards.
- Create and maintain department processes and work instructions.
- Liaise and collaborate with Finance, suppliers and various other internal stakeholders.
Minimum of 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C and above, including Maths and English
Preferable (though not essential) CIPS qualification, or at least the desire to pursue at a later date
Preferable:
Experience of process improvement/LEAN principles/Six Sigma, 80/20 etc. Design and manufacturing SME Working in a global footprint business Preferable Willingness to generate ideas and contribute to the wider team. Fluency in another language other than English. Member/collaborator of professional forums/organisations.
3 years working in Finance, operations or manufacturing environment within the UK Working ERP knowledge
Professional skills and aptitude Essential Advanced Excel user Logical thinker with a methodical approach to problem solving.
Ability to focus and switch tasks frequently Team player with good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Packages. Common sense approach with a proactive attitude & determination to succeed.
Good attention to detail. Intuitive/curious/flexible learner.
Self-confident to take initiative and not afraid to ask questions or challenge.
Highly analytical with experience of scoping, creating and delivering reports with analysis to aid business decision making.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
