Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute medical conditions.
  • Lead and manage clinical teams, including junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of our medical services, including education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in clinical governance and audit activities to ensure high standards of patient care.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and registration with the General Medical Council.
  • Experience in acute medicine, with a strong track record of clinical leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities and demands.
