Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum + £8,400 car allowance
We are excited to present an opportunity for an Associate Specialist Psychiatrist to become part of a dedicated female acute inpatient ward. This position is well-suited for professionals looking for a substantive role within a progressive and innovative healthcare service.
This newly established service provides a distinctive opportunity to lead and contribute to service enhancements. As a member of a well-respected team committed to delivering outstanding care, you will play a vital role in one of the largest female-only psychiatric facilities in the nation. The position entails a first on-call commitment of 1 in 7.
Support and Professional Development:
You will receive guidance from five consultants within the service and eighteen across the region. The role includes access to a weekly Continuing Professional Development (CPD) education program and opportunities to participate in external CPD events, including conferences. Furthermore, you will be supported in pursuing Section 12 approval, AC approval, or CESR applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, primary medical care to inpatients.
- Collaborate effectively with external professionals and caregivers.
- Prepare and present written and oral evidence for hospital management and tribunal hearings.
- Work towards ensuring safe and effective patient discharges.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Full GMC registration.
- Experience in psychiatry within multidisciplinary teams.
- Good standing for CPD with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Engagement in an appraisal process within the last year.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in psychiatry.
- Experience working as a physician in a similar environment.
