Job Summary

The Revenue Manager is a critical role in safeguarding and improving the multi-million dollar revenue stream from global journal subscriptions for SAGE Publishing. As a key member of the Global Circulation Team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the continuity and growth of this critical revenue line through strategic management and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategically drive revenue growth by developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that boost subscription renewal rates, optimize pricing models, and expand market reach.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet and exceed revenue targets, cultivating collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance departments.
  • Innovate customer retention strategies, analyze subscription churn, and improve customer engagement to minimize losses.
  • Improve customer experience by refining the subscription renewal processes and customer service operations to boost loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Boost operational efficiency by identifying and rectifying process inefficiencies, implementing improvements, and streamlining both the renewal and cash collection processes.
  • Analyze and report on key results on subscription renewals, providing actionable insights and making recommendations to propel strategic decisions.
  • Target marketing efforts by segmenting customer bases, mapping their journeys, and developing tailored renewal strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sales to pinpoint and capitalize on upselling opportunities using evidence-based strategies.
  • Conduct market research, performing competitor analyses and presenting findings to senior partners to guide informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of developing and communicating effective strategies and roadmaps.
  • Experience in revenue management or subscription services, with a history of surpassing revenue targets.
  • Deep understanding of customer segmentation, journey mapping, and personalized marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in using analytics and customer service metrics for informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with collaborators at all levels.
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.
