About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team in Blackburn. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of families and children, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with other professionals, including teachers, health visitors, and police officers, to ensure that the needs of the families and children are met. Your role will involve conducting assessments, writing reports, and providing evidence in court.
You will also be responsible for leading parenting programs and working with families to develop strategies to improve their relationships and parenting skills.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of families and children, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
- Conduct assessments and write reports to inform decision-making and provide evidence in court.
- Lead parenting programs and work with families to develop strategies to improve their relationships and parenting skills.
- Work closely with other professionals to ensure that the needs of the families and children are met.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with families, children, and other professionals.
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- 2 years of post-qualifying experience.
- Current SWE registration.
- Experience in undertaking specialist PAM assessments.
- Knowledge and experience in using the psychodynamic framework as a tool in understanding family dynamics to support families to reach their potential.
- Experience in undertaking parenting programs.
- Experience working in safeguarding.
- Experience in giving evidence in court.
