Position Overview

The East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated individual for a 12-month fixed-term role as an Outreach Project Coordinator. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in project management who is eager to contribute to the development and execution of significant outreach initiatives.

Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the Next-Medic and Next-AHP programs, as well as supporting the coordination of ongoing outreach activities and work experience opportunities.

This role requires full-time commitment from Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support program activities.

The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with the Talent for Care Lead to ensure that service delivery standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.

- Provide a professional, confidential, and proactive service to managers and staff regarding the Talent for Care initiatives.

- Serve as an ambassador for the department and the Trust by organizing regular meetings and events to promote the objectives of Talent for Care.

- Work in partnership with the Innovation and broader Education teams to ensure the integration of the Talent for Care agenda within the Trust.

- Champion the Trust's values and promote the advancement of the Talent for Care initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.

Desirable

  • Project management or management qualification (e.g., Prince 2, Mary Seacole equivalent).
  • Healthcare or clinical professional qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in a training or educational environment.
  • Experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Experience collaborating with regional NHS Trusts.

Desirable

  • Experience in the apprenticeship sector.
  • Management experience.
  • Familiarity with local school and college initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Understanding of current NHS priorities and drivers.
  • Knowledge of the NHS environment, staff groups, and management structures.
  • Familiarity with Bands 1 - 4 work-based training programs and development pathways.
  • Awareness of funding availability for local vocational programs, including apprenticeships.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting methodologies.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques.

Desirable

  • Skills in job application and interview preparation.
  • Good understanding of NHS careers and access to further information.
  • Familiarity with ESR/OLM systems.
