Job Title: Planning Manager - Power & Renewables

AA Euro Group is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join their team in Scotland. As a key member of the Power & Renewables business unit, you will be responsible for coordinating the development of multiple project plans, monitoring project status and performance, and ensuring adherence to in-house processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage project schedules and histograms, ensuring timely completion and accurate tracking of project progress.
  2. Collaborate with the Bid Manager to develop schedules and histograms for all bids in the region.
  3. Resolve extraordinary planning-related issues that arise on live projects, escalating to the Senior Planning Manager as necessary.
  4. Review progress reports and dashboards on all projects weekly, providing clear communication of early warnings and timely escalation of risk items.
  5. Mentor and supervise intermediate and junior planners, ensuring they develop and expand their knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
  1. 3rd-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a strong trades background with technical ability.
  2. 5+ years' experience in project planning, with a proven ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work.
  3. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project/P6 or equivalent planning software, Microsoft Office tools, and report writing skills.
  4. Strong time management skills to satisfy the demands of a busy schedule.
