FTC: Specialist Dietitian for Critical Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian to join our dynamic team at North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH). The Dietetic Department is part of the Therapies group, working closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech & Language Therapists. We are the first Nutrition & Dietetic Department in London to commence seven-day services.
Main Duties- Provide expert nutrition services to the critical care unit and the Trust Nutrition team.
- Develop and update policies and procedures related to critical care and nutrition.
- Participate in research and audit initiatives within critical care and the wider Dietetic Service.
- Lead on education programs for patients and staff within and outside the Trust.
- Supervise students and junior staff, and provide training and development opportunities.
North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system, working closely with partners and measuring financial and performance objectives at this system level. We are proud of our staff and want to ensure their training allows them to provide excellent clinical care.
Person Specification- Essential criteria: BSc in Dietetics, State Registered Dietitian with HPC, BDA member, and BDA member of specialist group, critical care group network.
- Desirable criteria: Non-medical prescribing qualification, postgraduate diploma in advanced dietetic practice, or equivalent.
- Ability to provide highly specialized treatment packages, plan and provide appropriate monitoring.
- Ability to analyze complex information and decide on the most appropriate treatment plan.
- Ability to communicate complex information and problem-solve.
- Teaching and presentation skills to individuals and groups.
- Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with professionals at all levels.
