Job Summary:

Proactive Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, participating in shifts for a 24-hour service coverage rota, and managing SOC tools, configurations, and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents using Microsoft Sentinel and ticket system.
  • Participate in shifts for a 24-hour service coverage rota, including overnight and weekend hours.
  • Manage SOC tools, configurations, and updates.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security Analyst Team to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
  • Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Sentinel operations experience.
  • Microsoft Sentinel administration experience (desirable).
  • Microsoft Defender XDR operations and administration experience.
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience (desirable).
  • Graylog SIEM experience.
  • Azure cloud services administration experience (desirable).
  • Windows client and server OS administration experience (desirable).
  • Linux OS administration experience (desirable).
  • Understanding of Apple Mac OS.
  • Good understanding of networking and networking services.
  • Good understanding of internet services, such as DNS, SSL, domains, IP, and routing.
  • Cloudflare administration experience (desirable).
  • Programming/scripting experience, such as C#, Go, Python, PowerShell (desirable).
  • Knowledge of hybrid AAD/EntralD and on-premises AD (desirable).
  • Experience with open-source tools outside standard tooling to gain insights (desirable).
