About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Operator to join our team at Biogen, a leading anaerobic digestion (AD) operator in the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of our AD site, including loading and sorting of feedstocks via Telehandler, data collection and analysis, site housekeeping, and assisting with planned downtime of key equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Telehandler to load and sort feedstocks
  • Collect and analyze data to ensure efficient site operation
  • Perform site housekeeping and maintenance tasks
  • Assist with planned downtime of key equipment
  • Work unsupervised for periods of time and be flexible with working hours
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification or experience in Telehandler operation, confined spaces, and working at heights
  • First aid training and certification
  • Ability to follow procedure and protocol, experience of cost control and working within budget
  • Self-motivation, flexibility, and a great team player
  • Experience of environmental, safety, and quality management systems
