We're looking for a Surface Treatment Agent to join our Transportation team based in Retford / Wymondham. Kier Highways Solutions provides a one-stop-shop end to end works management and delivery from carriageway treatment design, product manufacture, installation, temporary traffic Management through to civils, patching & road markings. Kier Highways Solutions have national coverage for the supply and installation of carriageway surface dressing and carriageway patching and have national traffic management delivery capability as well as a team of CAD designers providing traffic management design solutions. KHS also manufacture and sell bituminous road emulsions as well as bespoke bituminous products and roofing products. **What will you be responsible for?**

As a Surface Treatment Agent, you'll be working within the Site Operations team, supporting them in the safe delivery of the surface treatment works

Your day to day will include:

- Overseeing the day-to-day operational activity working within client specification and providing the best service possible to our customer, assisting in all investigations, recording all accidents, damage, and injuries to Line Manager as per Kier Policy, reporting to Line Manager and work with them to resolve anything which may impact / change the contract programme
- Ensuring that all safe systems of work, method statements and risk assessments are followed, and work is conducted in a safe manner in accordance with Kier SHEMS, implementing and complying with Kier Group's policies, procedures, and standards
- Maintaining adequate quantities of materials for continuity of works and completing of material reconciliations, ensure work-related hazards are identified and suitable and sufficient risk assessments are completed to eliminate or reduce those risks, ensuring all employees have adequate levels of competence, supervision, instruction, and information to complete their work tasks safely, being an Ambassador for Kier and the client when dealing with the customer / public
- Organising and requisitioning site equipment / plant / vehicles to ensure completion of the works, managing safety on site including challenging, addressing bad practices, and encouraging best practices and innovation
- Making sure quality of works to required standard and achieving accurate recording, advising the Contracts Manager of any non-conformances

**What are we looking for?**

This role of Surface Treatment Agent is great for you if:

- You have highways maintenance experience, with a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card - Supervisor - Gold
- Have a flexible approach to working patterns and willing to travel where required, drive and hold a full driver's licence
- Can use Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and are able to remain impartial in conflict resolution and a be a positive influencer
