Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker - SEMH Needs

EdEx – Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at an excellent Primary School in Hackney.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a graduate with a passion for Mental Health awareness and supporting those with SEN/SEMH needs. The successful candidate will work with young people with SEN/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis, as well as supporting pupils and class teachers within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children with SEN/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assist class teachers with delivering core subject material
  • Support pupils and class teachers within the classroom
Requirements:
  • A graduate with strong academics (2:1 or 1st Class degree)
  • A passion for learning and working with young people
  • A 'can-do' attitude
  • Previous school-based experience
  • A sufficient understanding of SEN/SEMH needs including ASD, ADHD, SpLD and more
