About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Beckton. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to provide support and care to service users.
  • Assist with the admission, assessment, and discharge of service users.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for service users to live and work in.
  • Participate in the implementation of care plans and contribute to the development of individualized care packages.
  • Support service users with their physical and emotional needs, promoting dignity and respect at all times.
  • Work within Safeguarding guidelines and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a mental health setting, preferably in a challenging and/or acute environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Sensitivity and energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating, and varied lifestyle for service users.
  • A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
  • NVQ level 2 in a relevant care setting is desirable but not essential.
