About the Role:

With Intelligence is on the lookout for a skilled journalist to drive the growth of our leading asset management reporting, particularly in the realm of real assets.

This position entails covering prominent global players in real estate and infrastructure asset management during a pivotal time for the industry. With evolving public policies across various regions fostering growth and innovation, alongside the influence of rising interest rates on demand and performance, your insights will be crucial.

Your responsibilities will include uncovering exclusive insights on new fund launches, innovative strategies, and growth tactics employed by a diverse array of asset management firms. You will need to stay informed about which firms are gaining traction and which are struggling or altering their approaches.

Additionally, you will monitor the fluctuations in fund performance and how managers are adapting their fund structures to appeal to a broader spectrum of investors looking to enhance or diversify their real estate and infrastructure portfolios.

Your mission will be to equip investor relations teams at leading asset management firms with valuable, actionable intelligence that enables them to understand their competitive landscape, benchmark their initiatives, and identify new growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be expected to cultivate a robust network of industry contacts and deliver a consistent flow of exclusive news articles as part of a dynamic global real assets news desk.

You will also have the opportunity to cover industry events and conferences throughout the year, providing ample chances to meet new sources and deepen your understanding of the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance independent work with collaborative efforts within the team
  • Build and maintain a network of senior industry professionals
  • Report on breaking news in real assets with a clear and authoritative writing style
  • Represent With Intelligence at various industry networking events
  • Manage multiple stories concurrently
  • Produce regular newsletters to complement editorial content

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in reporting exclusive stories, with a minimum of five years in financial journalism
  • Willingness to work from our London office under a hybrid work model
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential
  • Preference for candidates with a keen interest in and understanding of asset management
  • A degree in journalism or relevant training is preferred
