About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning: Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to identify and plan procurement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
  • Tender Management: Manage tender processes, including documentation, supplier negotiations, and relationship management, to establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they are accountable for meeting continuous improvement and productivity targets.
  • Procurement Progress Monitoring: Monitor procurement progress and provide updates on active projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the team in managing processes, cross-functional training, and risk management, as well as generating management reports, information, and analytics for decision-making.
Requirements
  • Commercial and Procurement Experience: Strong background in commercial and procurement frameworks, with proven process improvement skills and expertise in Procurement and Category Management.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter with a strong ability to develop and implement comprehensive category strategies and strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and a history of delivering cost savings, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in supplier categorisation, performance management, and the sourcing lifecycle, as well as MS Office, particularly Excel, and bid writing software.
