Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Engineer to join our team at SCC. As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of desktop environments across our client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktop systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to higher support levels when necessary.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Deploy and maintain desktop infrastructure, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and compliant with security standards.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of desktop solutions with network and server environments.
  • Document all incidents, service requests, and changes in the appropriate systems.

Requirements:

  • Active/lapsed DV clearance
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and software installation.
  • Understanding of network concepts and how they relate to desktop environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
