Operating Department Practitioner

North Bristol NHS Trust is seeking dedicated and skilled Operating Department Practitioners to join our renowned team within a dynamic and innovative environment.
We are proud to be the Major Trauma Centre for the South West Region, providing specialized regional services in neurosurgery, renal, plastics, burns, and orthopaedics. Our commitment to excellence extends to all Theatre Practitioners (Nurses and ODPs), offering equal opportunities and access to development programs.

- A collaborative multidisciplinary team environment with personalized support from the Perioperative Development Team, ensuring bespoke training programs and dedicated development days for theatre staff.
- Unique multidisciplinary training opportunities delivered by our Perioperative simulation team within a state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation space. This facility provides invaluable hands-on experience for our anaesthetics and scrub practitioners.
- A pioneering approach to patient recovery through our Medirooms concept. These innovative spaces combine traditional recovery, day-case, same-day, and admission areas into a single patient room environment, prioritizing patient experience, privacy, and dignity. Patients benefit from continuity of care as they are admitted, recovered, and discharged/transferred by the same dedicated Mediroom team.
