Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a SEN school in the Borough of Merton. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with high functioning Autism and speech and language difficulties.

Our SEN school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students with a range of needs. We offer a bespoke curriculum that takes account of individual learning needs, and our students have access to a wide range of therapeutic interventions onsite. Our school has a strong academic background, with students achieving GCSEs, A Levels, and degrees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with high functioning Autism and speech and language difficulties
  • Work effectively within a team of specialist SEN teachers
  • Provide patient and compassionate support to students
  • Adapt to the needs of individual students and the school
Requirements
  • Experience of or a real passion for working with children and students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • A strong academic background, ideally with GCSEs, A Levels, or a degree
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Patient and compassionate nature
