Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding School in Ruislip. The successful candidate will have experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be able to provide high-quality support to a child within our SEN unit on a 1:1 basis.

The ideal candidate will have a positive and proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain patient and focused in a fast-paced environment. They will be actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting children with Autism/ASC, complex needs, and Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD)
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress
  • Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities
