Teaching Assistant for SEN Unit

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Ruislip. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a child with special educational needs in a 1:1 capacity, promoting their development and learning throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with Autism, complex needs, and Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities
  • Monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress
  • Actively promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience working in education and supporting children with special needs
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
