**Job Title:** Security Operations Manager

**Job Summary:** Mitie is seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for managing the performance of a designated region, ensuring that all contracted and temporary hours are fulfilled by trained officers to the complete satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the Security Operations Manager during times of absence and take full responsibility for the operational performance of the allocated business in relation to overall targets set, ensuring compliance with key Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain and promote the Mitie brand and reputation by providing an industry-leading security provision.
  • Maximise the efficiency of the deployment of officers utilising systems and technology to deliver intelligence-led services based upon risk and data analysis.
  • Contribute to the success of our contracts through effective training and continuous on-going colleague coaching.
  • Delivery of Mitie company induction and comprehensive STARS training for all newly appointed security officers from induction to probation sign off.
  • Delivery of all corporate training documentation to the required standard for all officers within their identified area and subsequent distribution.
  • Implementation and follow-up of officer personnel development plans where required.
  • Supports the effective delivery of the store detective programme by balancing resource to risk scheduling against store detective scheduling for their allocated area.
  • Responsible for the delivery of all focus topics and ad-hoc training as is identified by the business.
  • Deliver the ongoing support once trained to all officers to ensure learning is imbedded.
  • Delivery of performance management/PIP/development plans to officers where required for opportunities in relation to officer standards (uniform, time keeping, task completion etc).
  • Ensuring behaviours and situations that endanger the Health & Safety and wellbeing of colleagues, customers and fellow officers are identified and rectified in a timely manner in line with company policies.
  • Responsible for their area of responsibility's adherence to uniform standards as required by the contract.
  • To undertake duties associated with void properties inclusive of site inspections and audits within a designated area.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Be willing to work towards, if not already held, a management apprenticeship as is deemed appropriate for personnel development.
  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
