Director of Performance and Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Performance and Operations to join our team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the development of a performance culture that aligns with our organization's strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of a robust performance framework that coordinates activities and monitors performance across the Trust.
- Oversee the performance management and business intelligence arrangements within the Trust, providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely data.
- Collaborate with corporate group and health unit colleagues to ensure strategic change programs and performance improvement plans reflect best practice and meet organizational objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership of the business intelligence agenda across the Group, ensuring that information, analysis, and intelligence are available to support informed decision-making.
- Work closely with Board members, corporate leads, and Health Units to identify performance monitoring and reporting gaps and provide joint-leadership on the development of recovery and improvement plans.
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
- Masters Degree qualified or equivalent with evidence of further formal study at master's level in organisational development or related change area.
- Evidence of CPD.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a Performance function operating at a senior level and experience of working with a Board, in an acute NHS setting.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with experience of dealing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of comprehensive business planning and translating organisation strategy and vision into operational objectives.
- Experience of leading a culture of continuous improvement, that harnesses quality improvement with value for money and efficiency through service delivery development.
- Experience of capacity planning and translating organisational strategy into operational objectives.
- Experience of working with an organisation going through large scale changes, e.g. following a merger.
- Ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to bring about change and service improvements.
- Intellectual flexibility to make strategies and complex situations accessible to stakeholders.
- Ability to balance the need to think strategically and manage and deliver operationally.
- Thorough understanding of the financial requirements of an NHS organisation.
- Innovative style of management, motivating and setting direction whilst communicating vision and leading change through others.
- Collaborative working style with peers, sharing knowledge and understanding of current issues.
