IT Network Configuration Specialist

Scope & PurposeThe primary responsibility of the Configuration Technician role is to configure and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, access points, and IP phones. You will have full responsibility for the configuration and testing across a variety of IT hardware such as tablets, laptops, customer order displays, kiosks, tills, and servers.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and test network devices to meet network requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network changes.
- Resolve general device faults through troubleshooting and remote/direct access.
- Perform quality control checks in line with departmental expectations, raising concerns where applicable.
- Provide technical support for hardware-related issues and incidents.
- Experience in the IT sector, configuration, or EPOS sector with exposure to a multitude of networking, hardware, and software deployments.
- Technical knowledge of Wireless Technologies and general Wireless principles.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and services.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST), CompTIA Network+, or a demonstration of working towards, a Bachelor's degree in information technology, Network Administration, or a related field.
