Long-Term Teachers Ltd is excited to present an excellent opportunity for teaching assistants with a background in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are seeking dedicated individuals who are interested in part-time or full-time positions.

Our partner institution is a mainstream primary school that emphasizes a nurturing atmosphere aligned with its Christian values. The headteacher is in search of a teaching assistant who can embody and promote the school's ethos.

The responsibilities of this role include providing classroom assistance, facilitating small group interventions, and offering one-on-one support to students with various educational needs. Some students may have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), while others may still be undergoing assessment, making it essential for candidates to possess the knowledge and skills to cater to individual requirements. A compassionate and patient demeanor is crucial, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

In addition to supporting students, the role entails responsibilities such as supervising during break times, assisting with activity preparations, and ensuring a safe and organized classroom environment.

Working hours are typically from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time only.
