About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Fostering Service as a Team Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, high-performing, and cost-effective social work and placement services to children, young people, carers, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operation of the Fostering Service, including the Kinship agenda, to ensure compliance with national legislation and guidance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people, including the growth and development of the fostering community.
  • Manage the assessment, supervision, and support of foster carers within the legal framework and National Minimum Standards.
  • Collaborate with other service areas and partner agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and developing strategies to improve service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the legislative context of Safeguarding, Children in Care, Fostering, and Adoption, including the operational delivery of the Fostering and Adoption Permanence Panels.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people, with a commitment to creative and innovative practice.
