Are you dedicated to fostering effective communication and enhancing public perception? Join Service Care Solutions as a Lead Communications Strategist.

In this crucial role, you will ensure that the organization's messaging effectively reaches targeted audiences, managing both proactive and reactive media interactions, while supporting initiatives that align with city goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Communication Campaign Leadership:
Design, implement, and assess communication initiatives that reflect organizational priorities, ensuring they are grounded in research and focused on outcomes.

Media Relations:
Address reactive media inquiries, create and distribute proactive media content, and cultivate positive relationships with journalists.

Strategic Communication Support:
Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's communication strategy, collaborating closely with senior leadership and elected officials.

Financial Oversight:
Oversee communication budgets to ensure optimal value and report any significant discrepancies.

Crisis Management:
Provide around-the-clock press office support, including during critical situations, and offer media handling guidance as required.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor Communications Assistants, ensuring that all communication materials meet high standards and align with the organization's branding.


Qualifications and
Experience:

Educational Background:
Degree-level education or equivalent experience in communications.

Professional Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience in a communications role, ideally within the public sector.

Skill Set:
Comprehensive understanding of public relations, media, and marketing, along with exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and communication-related software.

Political Acumen:
Awareness of local government operations and the ability to navigate a politically sensitive environment effectively.
