The Senior Vice President of Finance is an integral part of the Executive Leadership Team, playing a crucial role in shaping, implementing, and driving the strategic direction of the organization.

The primary responsibility of the SVP of Finance is to guarantee adherence to financial regulations and tax obligations, uphold corporate governance, enhance operational efficiency through dependable IT/ERP systems, and establish effective reporting and forecasting mechanisms to facilitate informed decision-making. The SVP of Finance will diligently work to advance the interests of the organization.

This role encompasses overseeing the preparation and compliance of the organizational budget, ensuring target margins are met.

The SVP of Finance is tasked with ensuring that the organization operates in accordance with optimal financial practices and aligns with corporate standards and local regulations.

Financial Reporting:

Deliver timely and precise financial reports to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Enhance the efficiency of financial reporting processes.


Financial Analysis:

Ensure the financial stability of the organization by providing timely and accurate analyses of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.

Examine financial data from project management teams to identify performance trends.

Offer recommendations to strategically improve financial performance and capitalize on business opportunities.


Accounting:

Guarantee the timely preparation of standard financial statements, cash flow reports, budget analyses, branch performance evaluations, and variance analyses.

Guide all financial operations (company, project, and subsidiary) to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of corporate financial data, maximizing cash flow and return on assets while ensuring reliable and efficient accounting systems.

Coordinate external audits conducted by corporate auditors and third-party entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional representation of all information provided.

Optimize banking and deposit relationships, initiating strategies to enhance cash position and management.


Taxation:

Review and appoint an internal tax advisor.

Develop, recommend, and direct both short-term and long-term financial strategies in alignment with corporate philosophy.

Design and implement the organizational transfer pricing policy.

Evaluate and advise on the implications of long-term planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.


Legal, Compliance, IT-ERP, and Supply Chain:

Ensure legal and commercial compliance across all entities within the organization.

Oversee the administrative management of central functions including Legal, IT-ERP, and Supply Chain.

Conduct business system reviews (ERP) and plan improvement projects.

Support commercial management in sales and supply chain contracts.

Assist in any potential due diligence related to service partnership agreements or acquisitions.


Negotiation Skills: Engage with a variety of stakeholders, including banking executives, customers, and government representatives, to negotiate terms effectively.

Management Skills: Involve staff in planning and decision-making, facilitate process improvement initiatives, and provide regular performance feedback.

Quality Management: Seek opportunities for improvement and promote quality, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.

Planning and Organization: Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently, developing realistic action plans.


Qualifications: CMA, CPA, MBA/EMBA required. A willingness to relocate to Dubai/UAE for a minimum of 12 months is essential.

This role demands a high level of self-motivation, persistence, assertiveness, leadership, project management skills, and effective communication to lead initiatives successfully.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in North America managing finance teams, external advisors, and banking relationships.

Candidates should possess leadership experience in financial management, accounting, taxation, banking, IT/ERP, and legal functions, with a minimum of 10 years overseeing these areas.

Preference will also be given to candidates with hands-on experience in transfer pricing policy and practice, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning, including the preparation and review of financial statements and budgets.

Experience in Private Equity is advantageous.

Experience managing Legal, IT-ERP, and Supply Chain functions is also preferred.

Ideally, candidates will have participated in the implementation of a new Finance ERP system and have experience evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls.

Experience in the oil field services sector is preferred but not mandatory; however, candidates must have worked for an international organization providing services across various countries and regions.


Other Considerations:

Frequent business travel may be required, with the ability to travel without significant visa restrictions.
