About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Tesco. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of our pharmacies, ensuring that all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
  • Dispense prescription medicines accurately and efficiently, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service, offering information and advice on common ailments, symptoms, and products.
  • Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and respond to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines.
  • Support and deliver Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager to supervise and develop other members of the pharmacy team.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy technician/accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.
  • Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/Pharmacy Technician.
  • Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
