Senior Biomedical Scientist

The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist to lead the technical diagnostic services within the Biochemistry Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supervising and organizing the laboratory's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and organize the technical diagnostic services within the Biochemistry Department, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Undertake routine and complex analytical techniques to maintain service provision and ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic results.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve laboratory efficiency and productivity, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- BSc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Post Graduate Qualification MSc, FIBMS or equivalent, or demonstrate appropriate level of experience and knowledge in Biochemistry.
- Managerial or Leadership Qualification desirable.
