Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and organize the technical diagnostic services within the Biochemistry Department.
  • Undertake routine and complex analytical techniques to maintain service provision.
  • Ensure current accreditation standards are adhered to throughout the department.
  • Work collaboratively with the laboratory team to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory.

Person Specification

  • BSc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post Graduate Qualification MSc, FIBMS or equivalent, or can demonstrate appropriate level of experience and knowledge in Biochemistry.
  • Managerial or Leadership Qualification.
  • Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) Specialist Diploma in Biochemistry or equivalent.
